Joey Essex believes his dead mother left a message for him on his back two weeks ago.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey, 25, lost his mum when he was aged 10 when she committed suicide.
And the reality favourite thinks he was either left a sign by his late mum or God following a skipping rope accident.
After accidentally whipping himself in the gym with the rope, two crosses appeared on Joey’s skin and he uploaded a picture of the marks to Instagram.
He wrote: “Nawty init! Looks like a cross... On both sides. Hmmmm...”
The fashion boutique owner has since opened up on what he thinks the pattern means, telling The Sun: “Maybe it’s a message from Mum but I’m going with it being a sort of religious message.”
However, despite speaking out on the incident, he’s hoping his friends don’t find out what he said as he thinks they might laugh.
He added: “Being a Christian is sort of not cool... I have suppressed such feelings before but this is weird.
“Before, I didn’t want to get involved. I was scared of looking stupid but now I am comfortable with it.”
