Joey Essex looks confused as he whips off his top and throws on a kilt to start the New Year

Sometimes we find Joey Essex confusing. Sometimes we think Joey Essex finds himself confusing. Does he really know why he’s doing half the stuff he does? Well, it seems, no.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey has celebrated the start of 2015 by dressing up as people from the north of the UK. Why? We have no idea.

Joey looks just as confused as the rest of us after throwing on some traditional Scottish tartan and whipping off his top to pose for some pictures.

The reality star is a big fan of keeping himself looking good but he agreed to undergo a makeover for Foxy Bingo.

After pulling some strange sexy poses in a kilt, Joey said: “I like to keep myself looking reem, but I look like a right doughnut dressed like this.

“I don’t know if people ‘oop north’ pull in this clobber, but I’d have no chance down Sugar Hut dressed in this gear.”

Um, yah. You’re probs right Joseph.

Joey also dressed as character Compo from Last Of The Summer Wine and gave a nod to 90s Manchester in an outfit that wouldn’t look out of place on a member of the Happy Mondays.

Foxy Bingo is starting the New Year with a new look and it's being unveiled for the first time during the 8.15pm ad break in Coronation Street tonight.
