Joey Essex is a very unique being. He pretty much set new trends every week during his time on The Only Way Is Essex – remember how he made ‘shut the front door’ a thing? Or when he single-handedly caused an 80s style revival with his love for high top trainers and Chopper bikes?
More recently he has been wining and dining the ladies on Celebs Go Dating (where he ended up going off with Stephanie Pratt, but more on that later), and nibbling tiny squares of chocolate before putting them back.
No, really – in fact he told us he did it just last week at a big fancy chocolate event.
And that’s exactly why we love him.
So how did he fare when we quizzed him on everything that’s going on across the pond during the presidential campaign? Will he shock us all and correctly guess how many states there are in the USA? Will he reveal exactly what happened between himself and Stephanie?
And will he think we’re lying when we tell him saying ‘fanny’ in the States means bum?
Spoiler alert: yes.
He might think that Barack Obama is married to, erm, Patricka (literally didn’t think it was a real name until we Googled it), he may describe the political climate in the US as ‘very hot’, and he may clean his teeth five times a day, but that’s what makes him Joey Essex.
We caught up with the Essex boy to find out what exactly he had learnt about politics during his three-part TV series, Educating Joey Essex: American Reem. It turns out it might not be as MUCH as we thought.
But that’s OK because he needs to never change.
Today Joey is more focussed on showing off his knowledge of America. Incredibly, he got some answers correct.
