The couple have been engaged since last year, with John revealing Nana, a Danish air hostess, had been at his side 'every step of the way', through his treatment for a second brain tumour.
Although it's been a while since we've heard any new music from the singer, who previously teamed up with Calvin Harris on 'Blame' and Rudimental on 'Feel the Love', John has assured fans that he is working on new music. He recently posting a photo of himself at a grand piano captioned, 'Working hard on new songs.... stay tuned!'.
Despite being a highly-acclaimed songwriter and performer, earlier this year a fan took it upon himself to tell John about the best way to write a song. The user known as Francisco, tweeted John giving him a breakdown of how he thought his songs were arranged.
The tweet continued, 'My personal opinion (as a fan) is that you should do more than 4 verses between chorus ('cos sometimes they're better than the chorus!) and work on your bridges (they're not the best) @JohnNewmanMusic.'
However, John took the criticism in his stride and responded with an in-depth breakdown of his songs! Brilliant!
