On Thursday, it was reported that Amber Heard filed for divorce from her husband Johnny Depp– just three days after his mother Betty Sue passed away.

And now Johnny's representatives have addressed the reports as 100% true, with the hope that the divorce will be resolved as quickly and as smoothly as humanly possible.

They said: "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.

"Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

It's not yet clear to which rumours Johnny's reps are referring but reports by TMZ mentioned Amber's 'unhappiness' during the whole marriage and her apparent rift with some of Johnny's family, including his mother.

However, sources close to Amber told People magazine that the claims were untrue.

"Amber was by Betty Sue's side during this illness and regularly visited her in the hospital.

"She had been gravely ill for the last few years but they made sure she was well taken care of and had the best treatment. Johnny was very close to his mom."

TMZ also reported that Johnny has hired Angelina Jolie's lawyer Laura Wasser (who charges over $500 AN HOUR) to reject Amber's request for spousal support.

Johnny is currently promoting his new film Alice Through the Looking Glass and has appeared to be in seemingly good spirits considering.
