He's one of the most controversial stars on hit ITVBe show The Only Way Is Essex, and now former Love Island star Jon Clark has been SUSPENDED from the show after 'slapping' his co-star James ‘Diags’ Bennewith.
The TOWIE crew are currently in Newcastle filming scenes for the current series, where the altercation apparently took place. According to new reports, the drama took place at popular nightclub Tup Tup, when the pair started to get competitive over a girl.
A source told The Sun, "Jon and Diags were both chatting up the same girl in the club. Things started to get pretty competitive between the pair. A fight broke out and Jon slapped Diags before they were pulled apart. Jon said he only lashed out because Diags started it first.’
Despite the fact the cameras weren't rolling at the time, bosses have reportedly taken immediate action and suspended Jon, with a source adding they are 'really unhappy'.
A close friend of Diags' has now revealed he is 'reeling and really upset' at the altercation, with them adding that Diags was 'punched in the face'.
HOWEVER, a source close to Jon has now said, "Jon and Diags had a row over some things Diags had said about Jon to a girl they both know. She was in the club and Jon confronted Diags about it. They got into a row in the club.
"Jon is going through a lot of stuff in his personal life at the moment and wants to take a break from being on the show to focus on his family and helping his sister with her daughter, as well as his business Essex Tints"
