Best known for playing the roles of Nicky Parsons in the** Bourne **films and Lumen Pierce in Dexter, Julia Stiles has confirmed she has given birth to her first child with husband Preston J. Cook.
In an Instagram post to her fans, she revealed she gave birth to a little boy last month. The photo shows her baby's tiny hand holding onto Preston's hand. Julia then captioned the photo to reveal her newborn's unusual name and date of birth, going on to thank the staff at the hospital where she gave birth.
The caption read, 'Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017. Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives. ❤️✨ "Hello, World!"'
Messages of congratulations have been coming in from fans across the world with one saying, 'Congratulations and greetings from Germany ;)' and another saying, 'Congratulations!! “ Na sou zhsei “ as we say in Greece! It means to be a healthy child!'. [sic]
The comments were also filled with fun emojis such as one saying, 'Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈🍾' and 'Congratulations to you and your little family!!!😘😍💓'.
Julia announced her pregnancy back in June this year and debuted her bump while on a trip to London. The couple announced their engagement in January 2016 but decided on a 'shotgun wedding' in September this year just a few weeks before the actress gave birth.
At the end of September, a heavily pregnant Julia posted a photo on Instagram of Preston's hand on her wedding dress-covered bump captioned, 'Who doesn't love a shotgun wedding? 😉✨'.
Strummer is the couple's first child together, congratulations Julia and Preston!
