Justin Bieber recently shocked his fans with the announcement he'd be cancelling the rest of his Purpose world tour.
An insider told Variety, "It wasn’t a decision made overnight. He’s had some time off and was able to consider his commitments." Justin himself has yet to comment on the whole situation but another source told TMZ that the "Sorry" singer was "just over it." Oh gahd.
A rep for Justin said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase."
And now Justin has taken to Instagram to speak out about his decision.
He wrote: "I've learned the more you appreciate your calling the more you want to protect your calling. Me taking this time out right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE..I want my career to be sustainable, but also I want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable."
Justin previously had to deny rumours he'd cancelled the tour in order to set up a church.
The rumour started after entertainment guru, Richard Wilkins told Australian radio channel, Channel Nine: "'I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith and he may be even planning to start his own church."
Because, ya know, that sounds like a totally reliable statement from one of Justin's besties, doesn't it?!
And it hasn't taken Justin long to put the story to rest.
When asked by TMZ if he quit the tour for religious reasons, he replied, "no. you already know why."
