Justin Bieber pleads guilty to assault charges and careless driving

Justin Bieber has pleaded guilty to charges around assault and careless driving, which unfolded while the star was in his home country of Canada in August of last year.

The pop idol was involved in a collision between a minivan and ATV on 29 August 2014, this eventually ended with what legal people call a "physical altercation" between J-Biebs and the other driver.

Justin’s guilty plea means that he’s accepted responsibility for what happened, although it won't mean a criminal conviction. He confirmed that he made contact with the snapper, but it's been made clear that the clash was spontaneous and short-lived.

On Thursday Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General, explained that for the assault Justin "pleaded guilty and received an absolute discharge".

In a statement at the time, Justin's lawyer, Brian Greenspan said the star's holiday "was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi.

"This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault."

During the trouble Baby singer was at his father's Canadian retreat in Stratford, apparently the community have always given the Bieber clan their privacy, which is why Justin claims he snapped when the paparazzo turned up and started, erm, snapping.

Well, at least it looks like Justin's legal worries are over and done with. Let's hope it stays that way!
