After Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's marriage took a knock last week, Justin has apologised for his 'lapse in judgement' following a scandal which involved his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright.
The situation arose after the singer, who shares four-year-old Silas with Jessica, was seen on video “drinking heavily” while on a night out with his co-stars in New Orleans, where they’re filming the new movie.
He was photographed holding hands with his co-star, which was followed by Alisha placing her hand on his knee,and then stroking his leg.
A source close to the actor said, “However much he tries to downplay it, Justin’s been caught in a totally inappropriate situation.”
While Alisha’s dad defended his daughter, saying, “They are working on a movie together. I did not make anything of it, really”, Justin has apologised for his behaviour in an Instagram post and addressed rumours.
"I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love.", he said.
"A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement - but let me be clear - nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.
"I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focussed on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that."

When the scandal broke out, we were told that Jessica was feeling annoyed and embarrassed.
“She’s cringing, but she’s also seething,” said heat's insider.
“You can’t blame Jessica for being livid. At the end of the day, Justin’s a married man, and she’s got questions – including why he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring. It’s driving her nuts and to make things worse, she’s back home in LA, so she has to suffer in silence, knowing he’s thousands of miles away with his glam co-star.
“Justin’s being sheepish and is hoping that the scandal will blow over. At the end of the day, Jessica loves him and will fight for her marriage – but he’s going to be in the doghouse for a long time."
