Justin Timberlake literally JUST got our hopes up the other day when he told ex-girlfriend Britney Spears to call him about collaborating on a song.
Alas, what goes up must come down and our hopes are definitely down today as it’s being reported that the one-time loves are desperate to avoid each other “at all costs” in London.
The Daily Star reports that the couple, who began dating in 1999 but split in 2002, are going to both be in London in the next few weeks but have both instructed their teams that they are not to cross paths.
Britney is going to be in the city for the Apple Music Festival on 27 September, while Justin will be jetting in just a few days later to appear on the Graham Norton show.
An insider revealed: “Justin will be arriving when Britney is still in town and both their teams have been ordered to make sure they don’t meet at all costs,” an insider said.
“Hotels, itineraries and planned promotional commitments are currently being checked.”
Fans went wild earlier this week when Justin said Britney should give him a call about getting together for a musical collaboration.
It all started when Britney was asked who in the industry she'd like to team up with, and she replied: “Justin Timberlake is very good."
Justin was later told about the comment to which he said the fateful words: “I’m accessible, give us a call!"
We’re hoping that the pair are only avoiding each other cause they’re, like, soooooo busy and we’ll just be over here praying for Britney and Justin duet 2017.
