It’s kinda hard to remember a time before this horrifying excuse for a year we call 2016.
A time before Brexit, the presidential race, all the dramz with The Great British Bake Off etc etc.
A time when Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were a thing, Kim Kardashian wasn’t a thing, and, most notably, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were in lurrrrve.
It was so bloody simple.
There was a lot to love about this relationship, but our personal favourite aspect was the AMAZING early noughties outfits they rocked together.
Especially THOSE matching denim outfits.
But he’s revealed a massive regret on this front, and it’s kinda broken our heart.
While appearing on Australian entertainment show The Project, he was asked: "What have you learned about the [music] industry that you didn't know when you were in 'NSYNC?"
He replied: "If you wear denim-on-denim, it will get documented."
BUT THAT OUTFIT WAS SO TRENDY, NO?
"Did you see the outfits we wore? It was just … It was such a crazy time," he said. "The world was different. The music industry was different."
One of the hosts joked: "I heard it's coming back!" to which he responded: "You know what, I don't even think I could bring that back," but then quickly amended, "If it's worn properly [it could be brought back]."
We rock double denim in the heat office pretty on the reg, NGL.
Britney and Justin recently got us outrageously excited by hinting that they could possibly collaborate.
Britney was asked who in the industry she'd like to team up with, and she replied: "Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He’s a genius I think. He’s very rock n’ roll. He sings from his soul."
AEROSMITH IS NOT A MAN, BRITNEY, BUT COOL.
"Gwen Stefani, I think she’s great," she continued, "Justin Timberlake is very good."
Way to sneak that one in, Britney.
And when E! later asked Justin about the comment, he replied: "She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.
"I have a 17 month old so I don’t get the headline news.
"I apologise for not being in the know… I’m accessible, give us a call!"
We are still waiting PATIENTLY for this song to drop.
