Justin Timberlake said Bye Bye Bye to *NSYNC back in 2002, and we've wondered why ever since.
They released three albums, sold over 70 million albums and quickly became the eighth best-selling boyband in history.
So, why oh why did they break up?
All five members stayed mum, until now.
As we all thought, it was Justin who chose to leave and he has finally spoken out about it.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Justin said: "We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big.
“It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche," he continued.
"And, also, I was growing out of it."
"I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group, and I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart."
We're glad that he's finally shed some light on it all, but, we're also now DYING to know something else.
Which of the group is he talking about?
Lance? Joey? Chris? Oh do tell, Justin!
Technically, the group never split up. They were still promising fans that they were together in 2007, despite not releasing any music since 2002.
So, you never know, a reunion may be on the cards?
