Kady McDermott, who starred on last year’s Love Island, has taken to social media to accuse her unnamed ex business partner of pretending to be her and taking money from her.
In a statement on Twitter she wrote: “Unfortunately kadymcdermott.co.uk is no longer being ran by myself or my management. The site is still active although it's being ran by my EX business partner.
"I terminated my relationship with them on 31st July due to not being able to trust them for several reasons."
She added: “when I came out of Love Island last year I walked into an industry and businesses I didn’t know much about, and that was used against me.
“One example being my ex business partner bought my domain names behind my back without telling me […] I was 20 and young so didn’t even know what a domain name was, I was used and stolen from (still have thousands owed to me from them too).”
Kady also accuses her ex business partner of pretending to be her – emailing followers and taking payments from them.
She writes: “The industry is extremely scary at times, and unfortunately some people use your status to make money for themselves.”
Kady has taken legal action against her ex business partner.
The business she is referring to is the Body Goals With Kady fitness plan which has become increasingly popular since it launched last year.
The plan starts with an online 90-day health and fitness programme, with recipes, exercise videos, expert advice and tips.
But Kady is now urging fans to cancel their memberships and not sign up. She posted an announcement on Twitter saying: “Due to me ending my business relationship I urge all my Body Goals customers to cancel their Bikini Plan with immediate effect.”
Kady has, however, announced that she will be launching her Bikini Plan again on an app later this year.
