Kanye West compares his ego to a marble table and opens up about his ‘douchebaggery’

Well, admit it and call himself a douche at the same time. Well done, Yeezy – we feel like this is a healing process and you’re doing tremendously.

Kanye revealed that before settling down with Kim Kardashian he was a bit of a wally at times and admitted that the thing that reminds him the most of himself at that time is a marble table. Oh sorry, a nouveau riche marble table, of course.

“I have this table in my new house. They put this table in without asking,” West told NY Times' T Magazine. We can only imagine all hell broke lose at this point.

He added: “It was some weird nouveau riche marble table, and I hated it. But it was literally so heavy that it took a crane to move it. We would try to set up different things around it, but it never really worked.

“I realized that table was my ego. No matter what you put around it, under it, no matter who photographed it, the douchebaggery would always come through.”

But meeting Kim and having North changed everything. Well, he rant about Beck at the Grammys in February but we suppose he didn’t actually go on stage…

“I feel like now I have an amazing wife, a supersmart child and the opportunity to create in two major fields,” he saud. “Before I had those outlets, my ego was all I had.”

At least it was big enough to cuddle at night, eh?
