Kanye West has revealed it wasn't a sense of moralistic duty to the spirit of music that made him invade the stage during Sunday's Grammy Awards – it was the voices in his head.
Opening up about the few seconds he spent interrupting Beck's acceptance speech for his Best Album gong, Kanye admitted it was kind of a joke? But not a very funny one? And no-one really got it?
"You know, I felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened, everybody was looking at me, and then people started screaming, 'Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!'," he explained.
All the CRAZIEST outfits from the Grammys 2015
grammy 2015 crazy outfits
Aymee Nuviola
We like to think Aymee spent an afternoon sticking those little black decorations all over the side of her punchy yellow frock...
Keltie Knight
Was the theme for tonight's event The Hunger Games? We reckon dancer Keltie would be in some sort of industrial District if so.
Jeannie Mai
And another look that wouldn't have looked out of place in The Hunger Games! Fab bod, though.
Lemmy Kilmister
Motorhead dude Lemmy loves a little eccentric styling. Can you tell?
Ronald Flip Colson and Lea Robinson
Woo, Ronnie, that is SOME outfit you've got there! Lea looks a bit scared of it, tbf...
Brann Dailor
Green like Kermit with even more sassy joy. We're feelin' Brann.
Elton Castee
This man has SHAVED his leg hair into stripes. Wow.
Sia and Maddie Ziegler
Quirky singer Sia wore a MASSIVE wig and gave her fave dancer Maddie a mini me version. Weird and awesome all at once.
Paris Hilton
Oopsie! Paris clearly got lost on her way to Strictly rehearsals...
Belona Qereti
We can't imagine this is comfy around the crotch region. And that train would be well annoying in the loo.
Rihanna
This dress is as nutty as it is pink. We can see it's mad but there's still something quite pretty about seeing BadGalRiRi in all of that pink froth. Plus, her make up is giving us EVERYTHING.
Jane Fonda
Rihanna's stylist called this look "even c***ier" in the flesh. Yowzers.
Joy Villa
People who do roadworks, listen up! That stuff you use to separate areas could also be used to fashion a LOVELY gown. NAHT.
"Okay, that didn't really happen, these were voices in my head. So the voices in my head told me to go up, and then I just walked up, like, halfway up the stage."
" You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around with what had happened before [with Taylor Swift] but I just really didn't want to take away from Beck's moment or the time he's having to talk, because, you know, the Grammys, they play music really quick no matter who you are and everything," he went on.
"So I didn't want anything to take away from his screen time. So I just walked back down because, you know, it was kind of a joke, like the Grammys themselves."
Uh….huh. Nice pass-agg dig at the end there, Kanye.
