Kanye West’s Oxford Union rider included raw asparagus, hummus and water bottles with no labels

Kanye West’s speech at the Oxford Union on 2 March was pretty bizarre and so was his rider.

On his list of demands, Kanye included some of the healthiest demands we’ve seen in a long time, which included loads of fresh veg and water.

“He wanted Volvic water bottles with the labels removed, a small veggie platter, hummus, hot water and a small variety of tea bags, double espresso available to be made if requested and raw asparagus,” Guild Chairman Abbas Kazmi told the university newspaper, The Tab.

We were expecting something more jazzy. You know, maybe some caviar, a platter of fresh Scottish salmon painted gold…but no.

This wasn’t all though.

Abbas explained the rapper also wanted a full-length mirror but his people didn’t give them enough time to find one. He added: “We couldn’t buy one at short notice, Argos said we had to order it in, so one girl on committee just had to carry hers out of her room!”

Amazing. We think she should sell that online. Just like that bag of hot air going on eBay for $60,000.
