Former EastEnders actress Kara Tointon has officially CONFIRMED her engagement to fiancé Marius Jensen - AND announced they're expecting their first baby! The 35-year-old, who rose to fame as Dawn Swann in the soap, revealed her engagement and confirmed her pregnancy in an interview with Hello! magazine.

The Strictly Come Dancing 2010 winner was rumoured to be engaged to chiropractor Marius back in March when she was spotted wearing a huge ring and teased to the Mirror, "I’m not saying anything – I cringe when I read about my love life!"

She also sparked pregnancy rumours a couple of months ago after appearing on the red carpet with Marius for 'The Festival' premiere and cradling her tummy.

But the notoriously private couple have now opened up about their happy news, with Kara - who is due in three weeks - telling the publication, "It’s an incredible time. It’s the biggest life-changing moment when you have this little human being coming into your life that you are yet to meet. I can’t wait for motherhood and all the challenges it will bring."

Kara also revealed that she had been planning to propose to Marius on a beach in India whilst the two were on holiday - but he beat her to it.

"We were having a lie-in and I had no idea he was planning to propose," she explained. "It was so perfect as I am not someone who likes big moments, and it was just very Marius – he says it as he feels it. It was very lovely, very relaxed."
