YouTuber Carmie Sellitto has opened up about his split from ex-girlfriend Kate Elisabeth just weeks after she released a statement announcing they were no longer an item.
The couple broke up last month after three years together and while Kate insisted there was “no bad blood” between her and Carmie, he hinted their split wasn’t quite as amicable as we first thought when he admitted it “was not a mutual decision”.
Since then, Kate seems to be moving on with her life, but Carmie has admitted he’s found the break-up “hard” and “jarring” in a candid new YouTube video.
“We broke up and no, it wasn’t a mutual decision actually. She decided she wanted to break up with me, which is fair enough, the reasons being aren’t so fair enough,” he said.
Carmie also told fans that he wasn’t quite ready to reveal all about their split but teased that he had plans to film a tell-all video in the future.
“I’m literally getting myself together. I don’t think anyone realises how hard it is going through a break-up unless they’ve been through it. When you actually love someone that much, it’s fricking hard. You actually just realise that they’re not in your life anymore. It actually is really sticky, it’s so jarring,” he continued as put his head in his hands.
On the other hand, Kate recently told her followers that she was “doing okay” and starting a “new chapter” in the wake of their split.
During a recent Q&A with her Instagram followers, one of Kate's fans asked her, "How are you like seriously?"
Kate posted a photo alongside two of her friends and wrote, "I'm doing okay! I feel like a new chapter is brewing for me x".

In his latest video, Carmie also revealed that he'd "blocked Kate on everything" as he didn't want to see her social media posts following their break-up.
The social media star appeared to throw some major shade Kate's way too as when asked his "type of girl", he replied, "I used to think my type was blonde hair, private school girl, but now my type has changed. I'm into all types of girls so be sure to hit me up in the Insta DMs."
In a TikTok video posted last month, Carmie gave fans more of an insight into their split as he lip-synced the lyrics, "Oh baby, oh man," from the song My Kind of Woman by Mac DeMarco.
Alongside the video, the 23-year-old content creator wrote, "When you thought you found the person you were gonna spend the rest of your life with… but they turn out to be so fake you can’t even recognise them 💔."
He captioned the post, "We didn’t end on good terms and it was not a mutual decision btw."
Carmie’s video came after Kate told her followers that their split was "the best thing for [them]" in a statement posted on Instagram.
She wrote, "Hey guys just thought I'd let you know that unfortunately Carmie and I have broken up.
"It was a difficult decision but we feel it is the best thing for us."
"Thank u for supporting our relationship over the past few years, there is no bad blood so pls respect both of us during this time ❤️," she added.
It's not yet known the reason behind their split but in June earlier this year Kate uploaded a YouTube video and confirmed that they had hit a rough patch and had "a couple of breaks" in their relationship.
At the time Carmie said, "It's so difficult though because we're in the same circle and we have the same friends. So either you don't hang out with all of us or I don't hang out with everyone".
When heatworld caught up with Kate Elisabeth recently for The Influencer Series she opened up about the reasoning behind posting the video.

"I think it kind of comes a part of the job in a sense, because you're kind of you are putting yourself on the internet, you are sharing yourself.
"These things happen as well, I feel like it's nice for people to relate and watch it," she told us.
When did Kate Elisabeth and Carmie Sellitto meet?
During our chat with Kate she also opened up about when she first met Carmie and funnily enough he slid into her DMs.
"I was panicking because he had 100k on Instagram and I had 7,000 followers. I was like, 'Who is this man?'
"And then I met up with him at an event and I was like, 'Oh, he seems cool'. And I met all his friendship group and I was like 'Oh, they're really fun'," she admitted.
