Kelsey Parker has revealed she is ‘so excited’ to be expecting her first baby with new boyfriend Will Lindsay, three years after the tragic death of her husband Tom. And now heat can reveal she is leaning on her friend Kate Ferdinand for advice on how to navigate a blended family.
Kelsey already has two children – daughter Aurelia, five, and son Bodhi, three – with the late Wanted singer, who passed away in March 2022 from a brain tumour aged just 33.
Kelsey, 33 met tree surgeon Will, 27, on a night out last year and made their relationship public in September. A source tells heat, ‘Kelsey is delighted to be pregnant again, even if it was a bit of a shock, and she can’t wait for her family to become bigger.
‘She and Will haven’t been together that long, but she knows it’s right and the kids love him, so that’s all that matters. But she is scared about how she navigates it all because of Tom and has really bonded with Kate, who has been giving her advice.’
Podcast host Kelsey and Kate, 33, have been friends for years – with the former The Only Way Is Essex star even appearing alongside her husband Rio in Kelsey’s documentary, Life After Tom, in 2022. Kelsey has previously spoken about her friendship with Kate, calling her ‘a really great person to speak to’.
Kate has opened up about the ups and downs of her blended family after marrying former footballer Rio in 2019 and becoming step-mum to his three children Lorenz, 18, Tate, 16, and Tia, 13 – who he shared with late wife Rebecca Ellison, who died in 2015 from breast cancer. Following their wedding, Kate has given birth to her own children with Rio – son Cree, three, and daughter Shae, one.
