Katie Hopkins has once again lowered herself in our expectations.

The rent-a-rant writer now has Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in her sights, blasting the X Factor star for calling for an end to skinny-shaming.

Responding to Cheryl’s impassioned Instagram plea, in which Cheryl asked to be ‘left alone’ by the haters, Katie said: “Cheryl Fernando-Torres Cole is sick of all the body-shaming aimed in her direction.”

Because giving people the wrong name is so funny, right?

Katie went on: “She wants it to be made illegal for anyone to call her skinny.

“She would like you to know her weight issues are due to the death of her father-in-law and are not in any way linked to the need to outdress Rita Ora or impress Simon Cowell, who sees her as a disposable item (see X Factor USA for details).”

Is it just us, or is referring to the death of Cheryl’s father-in-law really disrespectful?

And referring to her as “disposable” feels pretty vile from where we’re sitting.

Katie, whose TLC chat show If Katie Ruled The World recently addressed the question of whether dogs should wear nappies, went on: “However, it is perfectly legal for her looks to be her only asset, to rake in lucrative contracts for clothing and beauty products off the back of them and to be idolised by legions of fans for being pretty.

"It is only illegal if you aren’t being complimentary. Do you get it, pet?”

Her only asset? Come on, Katie. What about Girls Aloud? What about Fi**ght (fight fight fight fight) For This Love? What about bringing the world Katie Waissel?

Get a grip.
