The rent-a-gob tweeted to say she’d injured herself and needed an ambulance after ‘smashing’ her face – though it’s not clear how the incident happened.
She thanked a black cab driver who called the emergency services, explaining that she’d needed gas and air for the pain.
“To @joejohnpayne for calling & London Ambulance for coming. I thank you. Gas & air + a side order of smashed face,” she said.
The cabbie, Joe Payne, replied, saying:
Katie has often spoken about her struggle with epilepsy, although she has yet to confirm whether her condition had anything to do with this morning’s drama.
Earlier this year, she wrote an open letter to her children in which she claimed her “doctor says her epilepsy will get her one day”.
She also told Perez Hilton during her Celebrity Big Brother stint that she suffers epileptic fits “every night or every other night” and has had it since she was 20.
“There’s a bit missing [in my brain],” she said at the time.
“A lot of people get it from a bang to the head but mine’s just missing a bit of brain, which might be quite apparent. I’ve seen the bit missing, I’ve seen the scan. It’s really freaky.”
