It’s impossible not to have an opinion on designers Dolce & Gabbana’s view that IVF babies are “synthetic” and "chemical". They’ve also said that they oppose gay adoptions.
Elton John has called for a boycott of the Italian designers – he has two sons with his husband David Furnish, born via a surrogate mother and IVF, and has rightly been upset by their comments.

Anyways, guess who’s stuck their annoying, gobby oar in now?
Katie Hopkins, that’s who. As if it would be ANYBODY ELSE.
So, what Katie’s saying is that the gay community – and indeed anyone, gay or not – is intolerant if they disagree with D&G’s views.
Something isn’t quite right here, Katie, and we think it’s that YOU’RE PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE AS PER USUAL.
Also, it’s pretty rich talking about tolerance, with the utter claptrap you come out with about, say, children’s names marking them out as “chavvy”, or weight. These are just a few examples.
We doubt Elton John will be taking any notice of Ms Hopkins WHATSOEVER, but Elt, just in case… stick to your guns.
We’re pretty sure you will, anyhow.
Just in case you’re wondering, Dolce and Gabbana’s exact words to Italy’s Panorama magazine were: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.
“No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”
Domenico Dolce - who was in a relationship with business partner Stefano Gabbana for 23 years, added: “You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that’s how it should be.
“I call children of chemistry synthetic children. Uteri [for] rent, semen chosen from a catalogue.
Stefano continued: “The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.”
Katie, please just step away from this one.
