Katie Hopkins slams Charlotte Crosby and Mitch Jenkins engagement joke: “He definitely isn’t the one”

**Charlotte Crosby has hit back at Katie Hopkins after the Celebrity Big Brother blabbermouth slammed the ******prospect of the Geordie Shore star marrying boyfriend Mitch Jenkins, claiming she has no idea what she's talking about.

Katie says Mitch isn't 'the one' after he joked about the couple getting engaged this week.

Columnist Katie said Charlotte wasn't showing much interest in her man when she spotted them at the X Factor last year - but Char wasn't even with Mitch, so it seems Katie got her wires crossed.

A representative for Charlotte tells heatworld: "Katie is spot on with her comment and observations on the night, thankfully that wasn't Mitch with Charlotte at the X Factor!"**

We were so excited when a message was posted on Charlotte Crosby’s Twitter page this week that suggested she was engaged to boyfriend Mitch Jenkins, we let out a scream so high pitched that only dogs could hear.

But one person wasn’t so impressed with the news – professional troll Katie Hopkins. What a surprise.

On Wednesday night we were all ready to rush out and buy a hat when Geordie Shore star Charlotte appeared to tweet: “OMG I SAID YES!”

The tweet was sprinkled with a few love emojis including a ring, a girl in a veil and a heart.

On Mitch’s page, a post read: “Only gone and got me self a ball and chain.” Nice.

But all was not as it seemed and Mitch had tweeted the messages as a joke after a night out.

However, the cheeky antics got the cogs in Katie's brain moving and the Celebrity Big Brother runner-up has since decided Charlotte marrying Mitch would be a TERRIBLE idea.

In her column for The Sun, Katie wrote: “I am relieved to hear that Charlotte Crosby is not engaged.

“I sat behind her and Mitch Jenkins at The X Factor and he was all over her like a rash. Charlotte didn’t seem so keen.

“Mitch may be A one, but he definitely isn’t THE one.” Sigh.

Charlotte and Mitch dated for 18 months before splitting last September and then got back together so there must be a spark there and they might think slightly differently than you, Katie.
