Always one on the wind-up, Katie Hopkins tweeted that One Direction have “split” – shortly after it was announced that Zayn has officially LEFT the band.
Of course, the band HAVEN’T split – but they have lost one fifth of their members :(

We see what you’re doing there, Katie, but it’s OK, Directioners (well, not really, because Zayn’s walked out, but at least we’ve still got the other four).
The band is officially now a four-piece, as per the statement put out earlier by their publicist, Simon Jones:
"After five incredible years, Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year."
Of course, Katie’s now busy doing her very best gloating and retweeting messages from her “fans”.
One person reckons she “called” today’s One Direction events, while several more think she’s some kind of comedy genius.
Katie Hopkins, you’ve not called anything of the sort. One Direction are still a thing, mmmkay? They may be a member down, but they’re still a huge, massive thing.
