She’s been told she “must rest in order to heal”, after fracturing both her feet and undergoing eight-hour surgery to fuse the bones back together. But we all know Katie Price isn’t one to sit back and do nothing – despite being unable to walk for up to two years.
According to insiders, the former glamour model is desperate to plough ahead with her big plans to settle down and have kids with her boyfriend Carl Woods, and she’s not going to let a little thing like major injuries stop her.
After all, the star has already spoken about her desire to have more children, and has said fertility doctors have advised her she has just a few years left to make that dream a reality… so she really needs to crack on.
“Katie has her heart set on having two more children, maybe even twins,” says an insider close to the 42-year-old, who said in June – weeks before meeting Carl – that she’d considered doing it alone via adoption or a sperm donor.
“Carl is being so supportive, so she isn’t worried about looking after a baby while she’s still injured. She’s been looking into getting a bespoke pink stroller that can hold Katie and a child together. Her friends have told her to listen to her doctors’ advice about giving her body a rest, but she feels like she’s in a race against time. She and Carl are considering using IVF, and she refuses to let her broken feet slow her down.”

As heat has told you, Carl’s on the same page as Katie when it comes to marriage and kids. And he proved that he’s more than capable of looking after her and her brood again last week, after Katie shared a video in which he held her hand and reassured her, while doctors removed 50 stitches from her feet. Ouch. Now, we’re told Katie – who’s already mum to Harvey, 18, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and Bunny, six – wants to make him a dad before it’s too late. “Carl really has been a rock for Katie, which has made her realise that he’s different,” says our source. “She just knows they can make this work.”
And luckily for Katie – and Carl – there’s one part of her life that hasn’t been affected by her injuries. Speaking last week, Katie revealed, “At least I can keep Carl happy in the bedroom. Nothing has changed there. I just can’t do it standing up. I have to crawl along the floor so I’m at knee height on him – he’s got no complaints.”
