Katie Price has spoken out about her mum Amy’s recently diagnosed illness and revealed they’ve been talking about Katie donating part of her lung to her mum.
Speaking at her one woman show, An Audience With Katie Price, Katie revealed she’d consider donating her lung in the hope of helping her mum, who’s been told she has three to five years to live after being diagnosed with a lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fribrosis.
“We're talking about me giving her one of my lungs,” she told the audience at her Stevenage show.
However, she added that she’s not convinced this will help her in her mother’s case: “But I’m not sure it will save her.”
While lung transplants usually come from organ donors who have already passed away, it is possible for living adults to donate part of their lung if they are found to be a good match.
Katie also opened up about her new career plans. She explained she’s training to become a paramedic.
“I'm training to be a paramedic - I've started the course and I'm 5 years on from being qualified,” she revealed to the crowd.
“I like helping people. I was doing nursing before I got into modelling,” she added.
In other Katie Price news, she recently hit out at her ex-husband Peter Andre's bedroom skills while on her tour.
"Pete was the love of my life, but he was short. I thought he was fit but so short.
"Why is it that when I meet the man they are fit, then when they are with me they get fat? They are happy, that's why,” she said, according to The Sun.
It was then that she took a swipe at his skills in the bedroom, saying: "They said 'Once you've had Greek, you've hit your peak.' Well, I didn't!"
Wowzers.
