Katie Price has previously opened up about offering to donate a lung to her terminally ill mum Amy, who suffers from an incurable condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Katie has spoken about how she offered to donate part of her lung to her mum, but now Amy has revealed why she refused the op. And it's all in order to protect Katie’s young family.
“Mum, I’m going to give my lung,” Katie told her, according to The Mirror.
Speaking to the publication, Amy went on to say: “I said, ‘No, you’re not going to do that.
“’You’ve got to think, if by any chance, it went wrong, who’s going to look after your kids?
She added: “’You’ve got to think about your children, not me, an what’s going to happen to them.’”
Amy also explained that she was ‘touched’ by Katie’s offer but she ‘couldn’t allow’ her daughter to donate her lung.
Katie found out about her mother’s illness last year, around the same time it was revealed her husband Kieran Hayler had been having an affair with their children’s nanny.
Most recently, Katie has reportedly banned Kieran from taking part in the next series of her reality TV show, My Crazy Life.
She apparently wants to make the programme all about her (fair, tbh), and has forbidden him from being on camera.
A source told The Sun: “They're filming series two at the moment, and Katie doesn't want Kieran on camera.
“She's told him that the show is about her, so he can't film with her.
“She doesn't know what their relationship will be when the show airs, so she doesn't want to act like they're still married and everything is OK and then it all changes when the show is on TV.
