Katie Price has said that her mum Amy does not have much longer to live after revealing her terminal diagnosis last year.

Fans of Katie Price were utterly stunned by the news last year that her mum Amy was terminally ill with a lung condition.

Amy, 64, is battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and she was initially given a prognosis of three to five years.

However, Katie's most recent update on her mum's illness, a condition in which the lungs become scarred and breathing becomes increasingly difficult, is deeply upsetting.

In an emotional interview with Now magazine, Katie revealed that things were not looking good for Amy, who Katie is extremely close to.

She said: "My mum is dying, it’s that simple. They normally diagnose it three to five years but Mum has already had to change her life.

"She’s sold her house because of the stairs. She really struggles with them."

However, Katie went on to reveal that the real danger for Amy could be as simple as the common cold.

She said: "But she could get a cold now, not get rid of it, and die within month – that’s how bad it is.

"Either way, she hasn’t got long."

She added that whilst she's been staying strong for the sake of her children Junior and Princess who know about the condition, "it will really hit" when she "starts wearing the oxygen mask."

This comes as Katie prepares to run the London Marathon this weekend dressed as a lung to raise awareness for her mum's illness.
