Katie Price appeared in parliament today to call for online abuse to be made a specific criminal offence.
She, alongside her mother Amy Price, urged MPs to crack down on online abuse with a new law, named ‘Harvey’s Law’.
This comes after she started a petition in response to the vile online abuse her son Harvey receives, which garnered 220,000 signatures.
Prior to giving evidence to a panel of MPs, she told Sky News: "It's a serious day, for I'm here to go in front of the select committee - I want to make online abuse a criminal offence.
"In one week, I got 220,000 signatures and a lot of those people admit they are not fans of mine.
"I've got five children and everyone seems to pick on one of them because of the colour of his skin, he's got complex disabilities.
"I got two people arrested by the police, they took it as far as they could and even they were embarrassed.
"There's so many people online who are committing suicide, all these things are happening, so we'll have to crack down on it quick."
She then gave evidence before a panel of MPs, detailing the reasons why she had started the petition, and faced questions over the nature of Harvey’s Law.
Katie told the panel of her son: “I’m his voice and I’m going to protect him”.
The law will be debated in parliament at a later date.
