Is Katie Waissel set to enter Big Brother?

Remember her emotional performances, big hair and bolshie attitude?

It all started off so well, before she started slating the country’s sweetheart Cheryl Fernandez-Versini…

But Katie Waissel is desperately hoping that this time she can win the public over by entering Big Brother this summer.

The tattooed singer has reportedly been selected by Channel 5 bosses in a bid to boost ratings and shake things up in the house. Given Katie’s past, we’re sure she’ll happily oblige!

A source told the Daily Star, “Katie will make for compelling viewing because she is such a character.

“She is bound to divide opinion just like she did on The X Factor. Producers are hoping she will open up about the tough time she had while on The X Factor and her other issues.

“Celebrity Big Brother always gets bigger ratings, so bosses thought getting a few reality stars for the ‘normal’ series is likely to make for a bigger talking point and push viewing figures up.”

Katie caught the public’s attention back in 2010, when she appeared on Simon Cowell's show.

She quickly disappeared from the spotlight after the series ended and went on to marry model Brad Alphonso.

Sadly the doomed marriage only lasted two whole months, but panic not. Katie has since found love and tied the knot again last year to comedian Brian Moote.

It seems top of her to do list is to sabotage her former mentor Cheryl, which we’ve no doubt she’d be happy to talk about on the show.

Last year Katie branded the singer “horrible” and revealed her fury at being mentioned in her book.

“I thought her behaviour was shady and unnecessary,” Katie ranted. “She publicly slammed me in her book without saying anything to my face.

“But when she was my mentor, she kept trying to be my best friend and steal my cigarettes.

“I personally thought she was nasty, a horrible human and completely not genuine.”

Ouch.
