Katy Perry’s ex-husband Russell Brand wishes her luck for Super Bowl show despite ‘not talking for years’

Let’s face it – if you’re a Katy Perry fan like us, you must have got pretty excited about her Super Bowl half time show, right?

The singer promised dancing sharks, fireworks and all kinds of magic for the eyes and ears before she took to the stage in Pheonix, Arizona on Sunday.

And with millions and MILLIONS (115 million to be almost precise – woah!) of people watching the game, Katy may have been just a little, well, a lot nervous about belting out a few songs for sports fans.

But one of her former biggest devotees put his differences with her aside even if they did fall out a while back to wish her good luck – her ex-husband Russell Brand posted his best wishes online before the show.

In full view of his 9.5 million Twitter followers, he wrote: “Super Bowl may be baffling to Brits but half time show will be amazing. Good luck KP.”

Katy and Russell were married for two years but divorced in 2012 and apparently split acrimoniously with Katy saying she hasn’t spoken to him since.

The singer did a great job when she performed with the help of Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott but maybe the warm wishes from Russ gave her an extra boost.
