There’s a rumour going round and round that there rumour mill that Katy Perry is planning on releasing a revenge response song as a “right back at ya” at Taylor Swift after THAT Bad Blood video.
You know, the one with an A-list cast that totally ripped Katy to shreds? Well, we wouldn’t blame Katy, tbh. And it WOULD be an excellent thing to do to get back at Tay-Tay.
The song was rumoured to be called 1984, which is the year Katy was born, a well as a diss of Taylor’s last album, 1989. Which we thought was pretty clever.
However, it seems that Katy isn’t actually making the song at all – and her management are strongly denying the claims.
"Katy Perry’s managers at Direct Management Group confirm that this story is completely false," a rep for Katy said, presumably while throwing darts at a poster of Taylor Swift.
Though we’re not advocating people being meanies to each other, we’re pretty gutted about this.
We wanted to see Katy’s response to Taylor’s video for a start: Katy makes pretty excellent music videos, after all.
We don’t reckon that this is the last we’ve heard about this, though – even if Katy’s not making the song. Go on, Katy…
