It’s common knowledge in the music biz that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have long been embroiled in a feud of epic proportions, similar to that of Mariah Carey and J-Lo’s, Madonna and Lady Gaga’s and Kanye’s war with basically everyone right now.

However, tensions have seemingly thawed between the two pop sensations after Taylor posted a video of the actual olive branch – a symbol of peace – she received from Katy ahead of the start of her Reputation world tour.

Taylor posted the video of the package Katy had sent over, along with a note that read: “Hey, Old Friend.

“I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings-between us. I really want to clear the air.”

The rest of the note is not visible, but Taylor wrote over the vid ‘Thank you Katy,’ along with a love heart emoji.

The feud is said to have initially started in late 2013, when one of Katy’s backing dancers reportedly jumped ship to join Taylor’s crew.

Tensions then appeared to intensify in 2014 when Tay explained to Rolling Stone magazine that her new song Bad Blood was about another artist.

Fans began to speculate that she was talking about Katy, after she seemingly tweeted this in response: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...”

After a couple of years of back and forth shade, Katy addressed the feud with her former BFF on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke in 2017.

“Honestly, it’s really like she started it and it’s time for her to finish it," she said.

Now, it looks as though Katy’s decided to make the first move after all.
