Kelly Brook is set to ditch Britain — with its large-shouldered men and its vans full of badgers and a public that will actually buy her book and know who she is — for the US, on the advice of her mentor, Ellen DeGeneres.

As sources tell The Mirror, Kelly is househunting in LA in the wake of her split from Tornado-off-of-the-Gladiators person David McIntosh, and is hoping to relocate to the States full time for work.

The 34-year-old — who is currently playing Prudence in a sitcom called One Big Happy, executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres — is being encouraged by the chatshow host and record-breaking-selfie-taker to relocate, and seeing as all Britain holds for her is heartbreak and rain, she’s seriously thinking about it.

“England will always be Kelly’s home,” the source said, “but One Big Happy looks like it is the start of her really cracking the States so she is very seriously considering a permanent move over to Hollywood.”

“Ellen has been so supportive of her,” the source added. “Not only has she been completely behind her with her career but also with her romantic life falling apart.

“She was sad for Kelly when she heard that her engagement was over and has been very caring and has told Kelly she will easily find a nice man over in America.” Nicer than a Gladiator who crashed a van full of badgers into a bus-stop? Good luck!
