Kelly Osbourne posts controversial #Throwback picture wearing huge curly wig!

This week Kelly Osbourne posted a picture to her Instagram account wearing a curly wig - causing a flurry of fan comments.

Considering the former Fashion Police presenter wore a wig and hash tagged '#CallMeRachel' and '#MyCasualLook' some perceived the posts to be **poking fun at Americal civil activist Rachel Dolezal.

Prior to this post, Kelly O posted a split image of Rachel in her childhood and her current look with the caption “This has utterly shocked me!!! It’s a #WholeNewLevelOfWrong.”

Rachel resigned from her position as NAACP leader amid allegations of improper conduct.

The 37-year-old was thrust into the public spotlight last week after her parents claimed she had been misrepresenting herself as black origin for years. But her parents stated the fact that she is 'caucasian by birth'.

Because of this, fans, including Kelly O, appeared on social media in outrage.

Fans comments on Kelly's social media were varied - from supporting her to calling her a 'hypocrite'.

Kelly quit FP after her co-presenter Giuliana Rancic allegedly made offensive comments about Zendaya’s dreadlocks at this year's Oscars, saying she looked like she “smells like patchouli oil” or “weed.”

One Insta-user wrote: "This is ok ... But Giuliana's comment about Zendaya made u quit Fashion Police ... Hmmm."

Joan Rivers' daughter Melissa is due to take over as a new co-host for the show.
