Kelly Osbourne got herself in a spot of bother this morning after she was guest hosting on The View and started commenting on Donald Trump's view of Latinos. Donald said he didn't believe they should be allowed in the US, to which Kelly responded: "If you kick every Latino out of this country, who would clean your toilet?"
Kelly’s co-hosts Raven Simone and Rosie Perez quickly stepped in, saying: “There’s more jobs![] than that in the country for Latinos and Latinos are not the only people who clean toilets,” to which Kelly then replied: “You know I didn’t mean it like that. I’m not part of this argument.”
Since Kelly's controversial comment, there's been major dramz all over the Internet accusing her of being racist, whilst others have pointed out that it could easily just have been a slip of the tongue. Kelly has just released a statement on her Facebook page, admitting she maybe should have thought about what she said before she said it: "I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT. I whole-hearted f_cked up today. I don’t want to bullsh_t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way I clean my own f*cking toilets.”
Better get that Dettol out, eh Kelly?
