The love is officially dead

We’re not sure if it’s because we’re single AF on Valentine’s Day (once again) or because a load of celeb couples seem to be calling it quits recently, but lately we’ve been overcome with the bleak notion that love is officially dead.

And the final nail in the cold, hard coffin is news that Love Island 2017 winner Kem Cetinay has hinted that he didn’t actually love his fellow winner and ex-girlfriend Amber Davies.

Joining Gok Wan, Jamie Lomas and Peter Andre as guest host on a special Valentine’s Day edition of Loose Women this morning, Kem opened up about his relationship with Amber.

He hinted that, despite seeming like the real deal, he may not have loved Amber as much as we’d all thought.

When asked if he would have taken a ‘love-detector’ test with Amber, Kem struggled to find the right words before admitting: “No, I probably wouldn’t have.”

This is a big change of heart from just a few months back when Kem had teased that Amber was ‘the one’ and said he could imagine starting a family with her.

"This is no banter. I can imagine myself having kids and a family with Amber," he told the Daily Star.

He also added: "I am in love with her. I want to be with her forever."

The couple split in early December and it was recently reported that Amber had grown close to Love Island 2016 star Scott Thomas.

The rumour started when Scott tweeted then deleted (why do they always do this?) a photo of him and Amber enjoying a cosy night in together.

He also posted alongside it a picture of a Domino’s takeaway – which is a suspiciously coupley night in, if you ask us.
