Kendall Jenner doesn't really strike us as a woman with body confidence issues, but the model has made a shock confession on her website about her struggle with acne.
Writing on KendallJ.com, the 19-year-old reality star revealed that she wrestled with bad skin for about three years from the age of 13.
"I had such bad acne when I was younger; I remember it SO well! I started having skin issues around the 8th or 9th grade," she explained.
"I think I just got acne from being a teenager and simply growing up, which happens to SO many people. But where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem.
"I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face," Kendall added.
It even stopped her dating for a while, as her confidence had been so dented from the experience.
Happily, Kendall's skin eventually started getting better – something she credits to her "incredible dermatologist" and laser skin therapy, although she pointed out that she may have just grown out of it.
"I realised that it's a part of life for some people and it doesn't define who you are," she added.
