Back in April, Kendall Jenner caused a whole heap of controversy with a very ill-thought out Pepsi advert. The ad was widely criticised for belittling the Black Lives Matter protest, basically suggesting Kenny J could solve the whole problem with a can of Pepsi. Not ideal.
This sparked thousands of think-pieces and memes, causing Pepsi to bow down, pull the advert and apologise. Kendall, however, remained silent – until now.
In a new trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kendall can be seen saying: “I feel like my life is over.” Kim replies: “You made a mistake.”
This is all we get for now, so we'll have to wait for the new series to air to find out more (September 24).
Kim has spoken publicly about how Kendall felt about what happened before. On US television show Watch What Happens Live, Kim told Andy Cohen: “She totally understood at the end of the day and she felt really awful for it.
“She just wants to move on from it.”
Kim added that Kendall had good intentions, and never meant for it to be perceived in a negative way. She also said Kendall didn’t actually see the commercial until after the backlash had started.
When the criticism flared up after the advert was aired in April, Pepsi released a statement saying: “Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding.
"Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologise. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologise for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."
