Kendall Jenner has revealed that the fashion industry ‘laughed at’ her when she first started her modelling career.
The 19-year-old has landed some of the biggest campaigns in the fashion world- from Chanel to Calvin Klein- but faced major scrutiny in order to get to the top.
Instead of fame working in her favour, Kendall’s reality TV background acted against her at first.
She told V magazine: "You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back.
"It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager."
The teen says that it was mum Kris and dad Bruce Jenner that inspired her to fight for her dreams.
"My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it.”
Kendall was recently named the face of Calvin Klein’s latest denim line as well as being named second sexiest woman in the world by FHM, beaten only by our very own Michelle Keegan.
