On Saturday (3 October), George was arrested at the couple’s home in East Sussex after reports that he had assaulted her.

George has since been released on bail and is due in court on 24 October.

Just two months before that, he told Closer magazine: “It’s been tough lately. We’ve been rowing a lot. Marriage isn’t what I thought it would be to be honest.”
He went on: “There have been times I’ve thought we might not last. In my darkest moments I’ve wondered if we should even be together.”
