Pop star Kesha may have lost her court case against Sony, but it was made clear that she is rightfully still adamant to speak out about her situation after giving an acceptance speech for her Human Rights Campaign Nashville Visibility Award yesterday.
After receiving the award and being honored for her efforts to better the lives of members of the LGBT community, Kesha made an emotional speech: "As many of you know, I am going through some personal things that have been really intense and hard lately and I just want to say thank you for the support I received". She also added "My message today is don't be afraid to speak up against any injustice you experience. Don't let people scare or shame you into changing the things about you that make you unique. We can't be afraid to fight for our dignity. These are our basic human rights".
The 29-year-old lost her court battle last month which meant that she could not be released from her music contract from Sony Music. Kesha originally filed the law suit back in October 2014 when she alleged that her producer Dr. Luke had physically, mentally and sexually abused her since they had began working together when she was 18.
We love Kesha. YOU GO GIRL!
