Khloe Kardashian says Lamar Odom ‘was a father figure for brother Rob Kardashian’

Khloe Kardashian has opened up to People magazine about her reclusive brother, Rob Kardashian, and her estranged husband, Lamar Odom’s relationship; saying 28-year-old Rob treated Lamar like a father.

Khloe, 31, said: “Lamar was like a father figure for Rob.

“My dad died when he was 16. Bruce [now Caitlyn Jenner] was great, but he was going through his own things that none of us understood at the time.

“Once Lamar left – and it’s not Lamar’s fault at all – I think Rob didn’t know where to go. He was like, ‘I don’t have guidance anymore.’”

Rob still lives with Khloe in LA, but she says she “wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Over the past 18 months Rob has stayed out of the public eye after battling depression and weight-gain, but Khloe says she can’t help him until he wants to help himself.

“He’s such a great guy, that’s what’s so infuriating.

“I’m like, ‘Where is your will to live? Let’s be around people!’ But I can’t win life for Rob. I have to wait until he’s ready to get to a place where he can do it himself.

“It’s sad, because he’s only wasting his life more and more.”
