Practically the whole world – even uncivilised tribes living deep in the Amazon Rainforest – have been treated to a little listen of some Westlife music, and most of us liked it.

We got pretty excited this morning when we heard those five Irish lads were planning on shoving music into our ears once again after splitting in June 2012.

Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden were apparently planning on planting their beautiful bottoms on their old stools for a reunion tour and album.

Like this? Well, forget about it. It's not happening again any time soon...

Simon Cowell’s company Syco were reportedly hoping to make some big bucks on getting the band - including Brian McFadden who quit the group in 2004 - back together by 2016.

However, ol’ party pooper Kian denied it's happening this morning, tweeting: “Guys im sorry to say but I don’t know where these rumours are coming from about a Westlife reunion but it’s untrue. Sorry #weslifeforever.”

If Kian can’t even spell the name of his own band at the end of his message, what hope do we have of a reunion ever happening?

Sigh…
