Is it the end of a reality TV era?

Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and their half-sister Kylie Jenner have reportedly dropped a bombshell on their mum Kris Jenner that they don't want to be on their family reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians anymore.

"It's not like Kim, Khloe and Kylie don't want to be on television anymore, they just don't want to do Keeping Up With the Kardashians or its spin-offs," an insider told Life & Style.

"Kris begged them all to stay, even for one more season. But they told her that they feel the franchise has run it's course."

Naturally Kris was not happy about their decision.

Kris, who once saw Kim, Khloe and Kylie as her main children to help reel in viewers with their drama, doesn't seem to be able to rely on her "golden girls" anymore.

One of Kim's reasons is because of Kanye West, who thinks the show is "beneath her" and as Kim has pulled away from slowly from the family business with her own endorsement deals, it's clear she may want more time for that.

While Khloe's decision is more personal than financial.

Khloe blames their reality TV show for destroying her relationship with estranged husband Lamar Odom and Khloe now wants a man who "isn't trying to up his social status" just by being with her. Like achem French Montana achem did.

Momager, Kris.

The youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kylie has never really been a fan of reality TV and now wants to have some alone time.

"She really doesn't like filming and the crazy schedule it entails," continued the source. "She would much rather hang out at her house, sitting by the pool with her friends, or being with Tyga, than work."

And now that she's just turned 18 years old we doubt she'll be running the way her mother wants her to.

And poor Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner must clearly not be very interesting enough for Momager Kris.

Since 2011 KUWTK has seen a 17 per cent decrease in viewers from 2011 and this season's premiere drew in 2.54 million viewers in comparison to season five's opener with 4.67 million. Still sounds like a lot to us.

Watch this space, we guess.
