Kim Kardashian has given her first televised interview since the horrific ordeal she suffered in Paris last year, when she was held and gunpoint and robbed of million of jewellery.
Kim understandably shied away from the spotlight after the robbery and has only spoken about the ordeal on a few recent episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, openingup to her family and friends.
And in her first ever interview, Kim chose to open up to the lovely Ellen DeGeneres about how the ordeal has truly changed her and revealing that she was 'grateful for the wake-up call'.
Kim also revealed that she no longer attaches herself to material things, which she hopes will make her a better mother to her little North and Saint.
Visibly upset, Kim told Ellen: "I know it sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me.
"I don't want to start crying but I know it was meant to happen. I feel like I'm such a different person.
"I don't want to cry anymore. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things."
The reality star then went onto explain that she would have definitely described herself as materialistic before the robbery and has now made the decision to no longer boast about her wealth and lavish lifestyle on social media.
"It was probably no secret, you see it on the show. I was definitely materialistic before, not that there's anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things. I'm really proud of everyone around me that's successful.
"But I'm so happy that my kids get this me, that this is who I am raising my kids. I just don't care about that stuff anymore. I really don't."
Kris Jenner famously ramped up security for her entire family after the ordeal and in the weeks following the events in Paris, she revealed that she needed several bodyguards outside her door in order to sleep at night.
"Of course when you get engaged you're going to show off your ring, if you get a car - no matter what it is - you feel really proud and you might show it off on social media.
'I'm not here to show off the way that I used to. It's just not who I am anymore."
In other news, Kim's reaction to those criticising the 'cellulite on her bum' in recent paparazzi photos is EVERYTHING.
We love you, Kim!
