Dating a reality star comes with certain conditions – and by conditions, we mean ten cameras. After making his red-carpet boyfriend debut at the premiere of The Kardashians, friends close to Pete Davidson say he’s been put on an intensive Kris Jenner course, as he’s indoctrinated into the reality dynasty.
And, if he passes the test, we’re told the next step is a strict love contract, ahead of getting engaged... “Pete’s being put through his paces,” says an insider close to Kim, 41, whose life has been under the TV microscope since 2007, along with momager Kris and sisters Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie.
“Plans are in action to make Pete another star of the show, which means a full dress rehearsal about how to carry himself, the dos and don’ts of fashion, and social media training. They also want him to bring new ideas to the table for plotlines and invite his celebrity pals on the show.”
Pete and Kim, who started dating in October, have already provided plenty of drama for the new Hulu reality series, including fielding constant abuse from her ex, Kanye West.
But unlike many of Kim’s other partners, we’re told 28-year-old Pete is fine with dissecting it all for the cameras.
The source adds, “Pete’s super enthusiastic about the brand and brings so much positive energy to the table. The family’s fame juggernaut doesn’t faze him one bit, it actually excites him. He’s currently shadowing Kim as she films scenes for the show, manages her staff and business interests, and plots the future. He’s in awe of everything she does.”
And if the Saturday Night Live star continues to ace the family tests, a wedding could be on the cards. “Pete wants to propose, but he’ll have to sign a contract,” says an insider close to Kim, who’s mum to North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

“The way Kris sees it, Kim needs a partner who can work with the family and fit with their long-term goals. She wants Pete to agree to commit to the brand for the foreseeable future and give her total control over any decisions around marriage and children. She knows Pete will make a great son-in-law, while being an asset to the Kardashian franchise, so she’s already making arrangements for a proposal by early summer – possibly sooner. Kim’s totally on board.
