We would have loved Kimberley Walsh to remain a popstar forever and continuously smash out hits with her old band Girls Aloud but she has to get on with real life at some point.
And she did that today by announcing she’s engaged.
The singer, 32, broke the news she is to marry Justin Scott on Twitter this morning.
Kimberley posted a picture of her ring on the social networking site along with some emojis of an engagement band, a heart and a family.
The couple have been together for 10 years and they were inundated with congratulatory messages from friends and fans.
Her fellow former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini retweeted the message and added a picture of a heart.
The star was pictured out last night without her ring suggesting the proposal happened very recently.
Kimberley opened up about her engagement dreams last year admitting she hoped Justin would not propose on Valentine’s Day as she thinks it’s cheesy.
She told the Daily Mirror: “Every Valentine’s Day would be the day you got engaged, and then you would have to celebrate them both together. I want to spread them out. Then you get more celebrations throughout the year.”
Well, you’ve certainly got something to celebrate now, Kimberley!
