As soon as Jon Snow was fatally stabbed by the Night's Watch at the end of season five of Game of Thrones, fans of the show immediately began to theorise if and how he would come back to life.
Kit Harington, who plays Snow, was under strict instructions to keep his lips sealed over the fate of his character, while many members of the cast and crew were also unaware of how the story would go.
Turns out, the months of waiting and guessing were all worth it as in the second episode of the show’s sixth series, Jon was resurrected! Hurrah!
Although many were kept in the dark about his return, Kit told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he did share the news with his nearest dearest; Mum, Dad, girlfriend Rose Leslie and, erm, a very friendly policeman.
Kit revealed: ”I told mum and dad right away - that's mum and dad!" which is understandable, but what about this cop?
Confessing that he used the secret to avoid getting a speeding ticket Kit told the show’s audience: ”This policeman comes up and pulls me over... and he said, 'Look, there is two ways we can do this. You can either follow me back to the police station now and I book you in, or you can tell me whether you live in the next series of Game of Thrones'.
"So I looked at him and I went, 'I'm alive next season,' and he goes, 'On your way, Lord Commander'," he said.
Amazing!
We’re so glad to have you back, Snow.
